We're confident you'll love AppScout. That's why we offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for new customers. If you're not completely satisfied within your first 30 days, we'll refund your payment in full.
1. Refund Eligibility
1.1 Eligible for Refund
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- New Customer Guarantee: You're within 30 days of your first payment and unsatisfied with the service
- Service Failure: We fail to deliver the core features as advertised
- Technical Issues: Persistent technical problems prevent you from using the platform
- Billing Errors: You were incorrectly charged or double-billed
- Account Issues: Unauthorized charges on your account
1.2 Not Eligible for Refund
Refunds are generally not provided for:
- Change of mind after 30 days
- Lack of success with app ideas (results depend on execution)
- Partial month usage after the initial 30-day period
- Services already consumed or insights already accessed
- Violation of our Terms of Service resulting in account termination
2. Subscription Types and Refunds
2.1 Monthly Subscriptions
- First Month: Full refund available within 30 days
- Subsequent Months: No refunds for partial months
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime to prevent future charges
2.2 Annual Subscriptions
- First 30 Days: Full refund available
- After 30 Days: Prorated refund may be available for unused months in special circumstances
- Calculation: (Remaining months ÷ 12) × Annual price - Processing fee
Example Annual Refund Calculation:
Annual plan: $588/year ($49/month equivalent)
Used: 3 months
Refund: (9 months ÷ 12) × $588 = $441
Less processing fee: $441 - $10 = $431
2.3 Free Trial and Freemium
- Free Trial: No charges during trial period, no refund needed
- Freemium Tier: Free forever plan - no payments, no refunds
- Trial-to-Paid: Full refund available within 30 days of first charge
3. How to Request a Refund
3.1 Request Process

- Account email address
- Transaction ID or invoice number
- Reason for refund request
- Date of purchase
- Review: We'll review your request within 2 business days
- Decision: You'll receive an email with our decision

4. Refund Processing
4.1 Processing Time
- Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
- PayPal: 3-5 business days
- Bank Transfer: 10-15 business days
- Cryptocurrency: Not refundable due to transaction nature
4.2 Refund Method
Refunds are processed to the original payment method. If that's not possible, we'll work with you to find an alternative solution.
4.3 Currency and Exchange Rates
Refunds are processed in the original currency. Exchange rate fluctuations between purchase and refund are not covered.
5. Cancellation vs Refund
Cancellation: Stops future charges but doesn't refund past payments. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
Refund: Returns your payment and immediately terminates access to paid features.
5.1 How to Cancel
- Log into your account
- Go to Account Settings → Subscription
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Follow the confirmation steps
- Receive cancellation confirmation email
5.2 Post-Cancellation
- Access continues until the end of the billing period
- No automatic renewal
- Data retained for 90 days
- Can reactivate anytime
6. Technical Issues and Service Credits
6.1 Service Level Agreement
We strive for 99.9% uptime. If we fail to meet this:
- 97-99.9% uptime: 10% service credit
- 95-97% uptime: 25% service credit
- Below 95% uptime: 50% service credit or full refund option
6.2 Reporting Issues
To report technical issues affecting your service:
- Document the issue (screenshots, error messages)
- Note the date and time
- Contact support@appscout.io immediately
- We'll investigate and respond within 24 hours
7. Special Circumstances
7.1 Extenuating Circumstances
We may consider refunds outside our standard policy for:
- Documented medical emergencies
- Death of the account holder
- Natural disasters affecting service usage
- Legal restrictions in your jurisdiction
Documentation may be required for these exceptions.
7.2 Partner Program
Success Partner Program participants have special terms:
- No refunds for free lifetime access
- Commitment obligations must be met
- Early termination may forfeit benefits
8. Dispute Resolution

Note: Initiating a chargeback may result in account suspension while we investigate.
9. Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable:
- Processing fees charged by payment providers
- Custom development or consulting services
- Partner program application fees (if applicable)
- Third-party integration costs
- Data export or migration services

12. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I get a refund after using insights to build an app?
A: Refunds are based on service delivery, not business outcomes. If we delivered the insights as promised, refunds aren't available based on app success.
Q: What if I forgot to cancel and was charged?
A: Contact us within 48 hours of the charge. We'll review your account activity and may offer a courtesy refund if you haven't used the service.
Q: Can I get a partial refund for unused insights?
A: Our insights are delivered as a service package. Partial refunds for "unused" insights aren't available, similar to a gym membership.
Q: Do you offer refunds for annual plans if I need to cancel mid-year?
A: We evaluate these case-by-case. Generally, we offer prorated service credits rather than cash refunds after 30 days.
