Merchant problem report
Shopify SEO Indexing Monitor & Fixer
Report created Jul 30, 2026
The problem to investigate
An app that continuously monitors Shopify pages for indexing and crawl issues across Google and Bing, then highlights the most likely causes and recommended fixes. It would help merchants understand why pages are being discovered but not indexed, or why indexed pages disappear from search results.
Merchants are losing search visibility because important pages are inconsistently indexed, crawled, or deindexed, and they do not know whether the root cause is sitemap, robots, duplicate content, thin content, localization, or crawl budget issues.
Evidence behind this report
These are counts from the evidence library, not proof that merchants will pay. The evidence score measures support for the problem, not the chance of business success.
What merchants said
Each excerpt is matched to its original merchant and source text. Check the original discussion before drawing conclusions.
“I have a problem with google search console. I cant get all pages indexed i think.”
“I’m seeing ‘Discovered but not crawled’ errors in Bing Webmaster.”
“How can we hide our pricing from our search engine listings, and still allow our pages to be indexed by Google?”
“This issue is causing many pages to not get indexed and some to be deindexed, which can affect their organic traffic and visibility on Google.”
“Sometimes my site appears in Google search results, but other times it completely disappears.”
Hypotheses to validate
The following is AppScout’s interpretation, not merchant testimony or a validated business forecast.
Possible solution
Scan the store for technical SEO/indexing problems, compare indexability signals, generate actionable fix checklists, detect pages excluded from indexing, and provide alerts when pages drop out of search engines. Include sitemap validation, canonical checks, noindex detection, localized page monitoring, and search console-friendly diagnostics.
Who to interview
Shopify merchants, store owners, and SEO managers who depend on organic traffic
